CBO help secure planning approval for 580 homes and employment development on the Yew Tree Farm site in Burscough. Working for the land owner Crompton Property Developments, CBO has been involved in this site through is allocation in the Local Plan to securing this planning permission.
The highway authority wished to see off site junction improvements which required third party land that would have constrianed considerably the delivery of housing on the site. We were able to make a technical case to the LPA which demostrated that using an alterative approach to the assessment of impact the scheme requiring third party land was not required. In this context the application was approved.
